Hi readers! Thanks for taking the time to know a little more about me, Olivia, and about how this website is organized.
I’m a sharp writer, recent sociology graduate, and a Midwestern girl through and through. I have a keen eye for quality, whether that’s a piece of writing, potential project, or future collaborator, and I’m always up for a new challenge.
After growing up in St. Louis, MO, I attended Trinity College in Hartford, CT and fell in love with the Northeast. In college I pursued my familiar passion for journalism by joining the newspaper, and found a new passion for sociology, which has fundamentally reshaped my world view (read more about this in About Me > Academic). While I spent the last two years in school saying “yes” to a few too many amazing opportunities, I still managed to find time to enjoy my hobbies: science fiction movies/books, traveling, playing piano, and hanging out with my friends.
I created this website after I graduated as a home base for all of my professional offerings to the world, and then some — a visual, digital CV. I believe that, as a young writer, it’s important to showcase all of my strengths, even if they don’t all fit into the same box.
You can read more about my professional and academic work, interests, and accomplishments under the other ‘About Me’ tabs, including how I earned my recent Sociology degree and my variety of past employment experiences. If you want to know more about me outside of academics and work, keep reading.
